During the past 20 years or so, we have been instructed to reduce our fat intake. You would think that obesity would have been reduced. However, quite the opposite has occurred, it has risen at an alarming rate of 50%, states Brody (1999) in the New York Times.
Why has this happened? It’s my belief that everyone is buying “Fat Free” foods. These foods are full of sugar, to make them tasty. It is the excess sugar we consume that causes us to gain those unwanted pounds.
Also, the lack of dedication to a lifestyle that includes regular workouts with weights and cardiovascular exercises is to blame.
